President Trump’s second-term goals to foster apprenticeships and manufacturing work rely on a Labor Department that has been distracted by internal turmoil.

Anthony D’Esposito, who leads the Labor Department’s in-house watchdog, has spent this year investigating damaging allegations against agency Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer and her closest aides, a probe that has already prompted multiple people to resign from the agency.

Both PECO and IBEW Local 614 have filed complaints with the National Labor Relations Board, accusing each other of acting in bad faith during contract talks.
